Azerbaijan and Korean firms form strategic partnerships to enhance collaboration in the aluminium sector

Azerbaijan Industry Corporation OJSC consistently engages in meetings with foreign companies, particularly investors, to enhance the value chain within its fields of activity, foster the creation of competitive products, and diversify its portfolio. Efforts are underway to establish new collaborations.
Facilitating this initiative, the Baku office of the Korea Trade and Investment Promotion Agency actively promotes trade relations between Azerbaijan and Korea, aiding Korean companies in direct investments in Azerbaijan. With the backing of this Baku office, the Azerbaijani market has seen the entry of the Republic of Korea's "Institute for Advanced Engineering" and "Lemon Metal Inc.".
The collaboration resulted in a meeting between the management teams of "Azerbaijan Industrial Corporation" OJSC and its subsidiary, "Azeraluminum" LLC. During this meeting, both parties provided comprehensive information about their respective institutions, deliberated on the potential for cooperation in advancing the aluminium industry, and explored joint project opportunities. A memorandum of understanding was subsequently signed at the meeting between "Azeraluminium" LLC and the "Institute for Advanced Engineering," encompassing the production of aluminium alloys, the establishing of research centres, and various other collaborative areas.
Notably, the "Institute for Advanced Engineering" holds a pivotal role in Korea, conducting significant scientific research on production technologies. Meanwhile, "Lemon Metal Inc., a part of "Nedec Co.Ltd," specializes in manufacturing aluminium materials, primarily focusing on special aluminium alloys. The company operates globally, serving automotive, energy, telecommunications, and information technology industries.
