BMW RR Superbike

BMW stole the spotlight once again at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, where its Motorrad division pulled the wraps off the jawdropping RR concept, a glimpse into the future of the brand’s nextgeneration superbike. Built with performance at its core, the RR concept is as much about speed as about striking presence. What truly capture attention are the exposed carbon fibre and aluminium elements, reflecting BMW’s ambition to set a new standard in lightweight construction. Every component, from the frame to the sculpted aluminium tail, has been optimised for performance and efficiency. At the heart of the Concept RR lies a water-cooled inline four-cylinder engine derived directly from the M 1000 RR, already producing over 230 horsepower (169 kW). This powerhouse is matched by a full suite of racing-grade electronics, including engine management, traction control, and engine brake control, all inherited from BMW’s WSBK program. The Concept RR’s focus on lightweight construction is evident throughout. A combination of carbon fibre and aluminium reduces weight while maximising structural integrity and performance. Every component, down to the smallest detail, has been engineered for ultimate efficiency and speed.
